There is no good reason to demote Diaz when he's hitting so well

It seems to be that most people, including Willie who has the final say, are slotting Victor Diaz back down to AAA once Cameron returns.  I realize conventional wisdom is that it is better to have him playing every day as opposed to on the bench in the majors, but I think that theory has its faults:

1-Diaz has already proven he can tear up AAA, as his numbers last year prove:

G   AB  R  H   HR RBI BB SO SB CS OBP  SLG  AVG
141 528 81 154 24 94  31 133 6 7 .332 .491 .292

Based on that line he has shown he can handle AAA pitching so it's not like he is going to get a huge jump in improvement.

2-Through 3 weeks he has proven the ability to handle major league pitching, and handle it well:

AB  R  H  HR  RBI  BB  SB  BA     OBP    SLG
38 12  13 3    7   7   2 0.3421 0.4444 0.7105

Withouth figuring out projections at this point, he has shown good power, good contact ability and surprisingly a good eye.

Why then should we send him down to the minors?

Couldn't we use him as our first bat off the bench?

Between Floyd and Cameron, isn't the chance of one of them getting injured a high probability?

By sending him down, we reduce ourselves to either Valent, whose offensive has been non-existant, or Marlon Anderson, as OF backups and pinch hitters.  With our team struggling for offense I just don't see any good reason to send Victor back down to AAA.  I say keep him up here, keep his confidence high, let him know that he will be back in there at the first opportunity and let him soak up some big league atmosphere.  He seems to have bonded already with Jose Reyes, and you have to think a happy team and player, is a successul team and player.

That's my two cents.  It goes against the proverbial wisdom of most others, but I'm sticking to my story.
