Lineup

A timeline of events over the past couple of weeks

6:30 (7:30 tonight): turn on computer, open up MLB Gameday, check out lineup

6:31: Say something along the lines of "#uck, I can't believe he's using the same lineup"

6:32: Have a debate in my mind about whether the Mets are going to score 0 runs, 1 run, 2 runs, or if this is the one night in that week when we'll put up 8+ runs. (Tonight one run won out)

It feels like the movie Groundhog Day, the same result over and over and over again. Although at least Bill Murray had the common sense to try different things. Willie's head is too far up his @ss or perhaps its Beltran's @ss

OK, got that off my chest.

never shakes up the lineup when it might need to be ignited. He did it with Jacobs and it worked. why same lineup today.

Schmidt

If the Giants are forced to trade Bonds during the off season since he may not be able to regularly play the field, I wonder if the Mets could get Schmidt. Maybe for Diaz, Bannister, and Keppinger.

Option

I heard the Mets had a 2.5 Million dollar option on him, which I'm sure they'd exercise because even if they don't want him part of their rotation, thats dirt cheap and somebody would trade for him (maybe the Twins, Giants, Dbacks or some other cash strapped team that has some prospects)

I can see it already

It seems like every game is the same thing. Benson is going to go 7 innings and give up one run. Matsui will get a double. Beltran will ground out to first moving him to third. He'll then score on a sac fly by Floyd. Benson will leave with the score tied. Then we'll lose 2-1
