Wow, what a season!

I was fortunate to get to four games this year, and each one was Amazin' in its own way.

Star-divide

The Pedro vs. Webb pitchers' battle was my son's first big-leage game (and Milledge's second.) We were treated to The Throw -- Milledge to Wright.

We saw Arroyo shut down the Mets, but El Duque made that crazy double play, Junior smashed one off the scoreboard, and Beltran hit one out so my son could see the apple come up.

We got free tickets to the picnic area and saw Reyes hit his grand slam on the way to a rout of the Phillies. Endy Chavez waved at us in the bleachers.

I finally went to the post-season: Game 1 against the Dodgers with that wacky double-play at home and Delgado's homer that still hasn't come down.

Great season, great team, great fams. Baseball is a game of redeeming features, and there's always next year.
