Around SBN: Explaining the Mets' bullpen struggles Bar-right-arrows

Daily YouTube

Aside from the author's all-too-common mistake of apostrophization in lieu of pluralization, and the fact that this video is billed as "Top Ten Baseball Fight's" despite it only containing nine videos, this is actually a nice compilation of baseball mound charges. Look for an appearance by Gerald "Ice" Williams at #5.

Number 4 is the best
I love the way he gives a side trust kick to the catcher's face before charging the mound.  More guys should do that.

Then he dances around in the infield like a boxer, looking to take on the whole team if necessary.  It seems that he was planning to take them down one by one, starting with the catcher.  Bad ass!

We've got ourselves a ball club, the Mets of New York town!

Definitely. He was looking to go Bruce Lee
on their asses.

Other good ones:  Robin Ventura clearly wishing he could change his mind about halfway to the mound, and Armando gaining a few points (in my mind - I'd forgotten about that one).

But what about Ray Knight clocking Eric whathisnuts on the Reds?  What about Pedro throwing down Zimmer like he was a bowling ball with no finger holes?  What about Shawn Estes nailing Clemens?  Oh wait, I only dreamed that last one took place.

Watch me paste this pathetic palooka with a powerful paralyzing perfect pachydermous percussion pitch.

Mets/Reds Brawl
A great brawl, for sure.  But technically it wasn't a mound-charge like the rest of the list.

Missing
1985.  Ray Knight versus some crappy Dodger Pitcher.

Far better than most of this list.  Did the ESPN guys just grab whatever they had lying around.

my favorite
was Bosox v. Yanks after collision at home plate.Think it was 1977. Fisk and Nettles went at it and Bill "Spaceman" Lee fucked up his arm and missed the rest of the season.
end the madness.stop the war

THE NEW FACE OF THE METS...ENTHUSIASM!!

I don't have too much to add gang. I think the picture speaks for itself. I'm not too much of a stats geek, I just go off of what I see from the players and the Win / Loss column. This pic was taken from Thursday's phenomenal game against the hated Phillies! I can't remember the last time David Wright got this excited about scoring a run or making a play. It really feels good to see the entire team enjoying a win. The team desperately needed this. I NEEDED THIS from David Wright. It just gives me goose bumps.
