The Annual Prediction Poll
I'm more optimistic than I was last year, where the majority of you guessed correctly. Maybe we'll have similar excellence in prognostication this year.
Since I'm so optimistic, I'll put more wins higher on the poll, and shift everything up by five.
Vote now, before the season begins!

I'm concerned about the pitching staff
I don't see another staff in the NL East who does not have as many, or more question marks than the Mets, and they also have the best closer in the NL.
Also, (as in 99) it is possible for a lineup as stacked as this one to overcome the deficiencies of a pitching staff, especially when you have so many games against the questionable staffs in the rest of the NL East.
What is this about Delgado's shoulder now? Wasn't it elbow tendonitis that was bothering him in Spring training? Do you know something we don't?

Atlanta will edge the Astros and Brewers for the Wildcard. The Cards will again win the Central, though not be quite so dominant. The Dodgers will finish two games over .500 to win the still pathetic West.
