Lima to be Wright's Home Run Derby pitcher
Whichever Met said this:
The long grand slam Dontrelle Willis hit against Jose Lima on Friday night still was in the Mets' consciousness on Saturday when they reassembled at Shea Stadium. So when the topic of clubhouse conversation turned to David Wright's participation in the CENTURY 21 Home Run Derby on ESPN in Pittsburgh on Monday night, Lima's pitch to Willis was fair game.
"David should get Jose to throw to him," one teammate said in typical clubhouse sarcasm. "He'd win for sure."
When you get back to San Fran, I'm buying.

Somehow I knew before I even voted
Just watched Wright's first round...
But boy was I lovin that! He crushed Cabrera's lead and blew the field away!
Getting ready for Round 2...
yeah, he kicked some ass
One thing in his favor is that the first-round homers carry into the second.

As Howard said afterward,
Which is all fine with me.
I am so proud of DWright
Congrats to Ryan Howard, the HR Derby champ, and congrats to DWright, for making it to the finals.
Oh, and go suck on it, AL.
