How awful is Shawn Green?

As evidenced by his attrocious "attempt" to make a diving catch, Green is just a horrible fielder.

I know he made that nice catch in Glavine's start Tuesday night, but a normal RF wouldn't have had to dive to get there...they would have been there already.

I can't stand watching him play any more. His bat is painfully slow, and his defense is nothing short of horrendous!

I'd rather see Lastings or Marlon out there instead of him. It's getting to be ridiculous that he still has the starting job.

the outfield injuries

which have been quite ridiculous is why Green incompetence, particularly against lefties have flown under the radar. When every one is back I think Green needs ride a lot of pine.

Green is fine

but only as a lefty bat off the bench. I want an outfield of Alou-Beltran-Milledge once everyone is healthy. No more Shawn "Proven Veteran" Green or Marlon "Willie Loves Me" Anderson.

I would love an outfield of a healthy Alou, the Beltran of last year, and Milledge. Green is so done it's not even funny. Especially when he said he found a flaw in his swing during the off-season, and that he expected to get back to form. 8 HRs, 30 RBIs in August is clearly Shawn Green form.

Milledge needs to be in there and I like that we brought Marlon back. He was money for us the last time he was here.
