Hell Yeah!

Joe Torre is the man! Another manager I really like is Mike Scoscia of the Angels. Sorry I think I completely butchered his name.

Answer:

Not if Juan Pierre is going to be batting second and Russell Martin’s walks that far down in the lineup.

by BlackOps on May 5, 2008 9:43 PM EDT   0 recs

At this point

I’d take almost anyone besides Willie Randolph.

how great is it to watch

andruw jones suck?

.173 / .274 / .255

OPS+ of 39

if only larry would follow suit

that's good

It’s hard to figuratively hate people.

actually...

it’s .425, with 9 home runs, 27 RBI, .717 SLG, and .472 OBP (for OPS of 1.189) Go Larry!

Billingsley

Got a bit of tank ass going on, eh?

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:11 PM EDT   0 recs

That was quick

Three up, one pop-up and two strikeouts.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:15 PM EDT   0 recs

i bet that tank ass is why he’s gonna be a strike out machine..lol.

by MAN in the BOX on May 5, 2008 10:16 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Worked for El Sid

Amongst others. Jonathan Broxton is a big boy, too.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:17 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Better than Jon Miller

who pronounces it bel-TRON.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:20 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

?

Isn’t that, you know, more like the right way to say it? Not that I like Jon Miller in any way, you understand.

by anonymous on May 5, 2008 10:21 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

the correct way to say it is . . .

tranny.

As opposed to BEL-tron?

Not sure. I’m no master of ethnic pronunciation.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:22 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

excuse me, that's "pronunciation of color"

I think it is actually Carlos Beltrán, accent on the second syllable. Not that Miller speaks a word of Spanish—he probably just stumbled onto that by accident.

well that was fast.

late games for all of you are not-so-late games for me.

good to be back…..finally got a new laptop.

Yay, non-ghetto technology

These late games are killers. Not sure I’ve got the juice to make it through the whole thing. And by “juice” I mean “HGH”.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:20 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

oh man.

living in California some times has it’s advantages. sometimes.

Perez

well he’s on his game

by MAN in the BOX on May 5, 2008 10:20 PM EDT   0 recs

So is Schneider

Dude is a top-shelf defender. If he weren’t drawing so many walks he’d be useless.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:23 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

WTF

was that???

by MAN in the BOX on May 5, 2008 10:22 PM EDT   0 recs

It looks like Ollie

is reverting back to 2005 form. He’s a nut case

Save America. Impeach Bush

by elifriedman on May 5, 2008 10:23 PM EDT   0 recs

it's the first inning

he hasn’t walked anyone. i’m not worried yet

by DoctorK16 on May 5, 2008 10:25 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Control is definitely better

At least he’s making them hit it. They might hit it at somebody.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:26 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

seems he figured out how to cut down on the walks

but it means giving up base hits instead.

by anonymous on May 5, 2008 10:26 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

He's wild in the strike zone

That cliche brought to you courtesy of Tim McCarver and your local Tim McCarver dealership

by Simons on May 5, 2008 10:30 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

holy crap.

EAMUS METROPOLIS!

by pingel on May 5, 2008 10:23 PM EDT   0 recs

Never seen that

He literally got beaned right in the crap factory.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:24 PM EDT   0 recs

a little bit lower

and he’d really be in pain

by MAN in the BOX on May 5, 2008 10:25 PM EDT   0 recs

Yea

He totally un-clutched that single to center.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:32 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

John Miller

I keep hearing him say Carlos Bel-TRON over and over in my head..lol

by MAN in the BOX on May 5, 2008 10:32 PM EDT   0 recs

i’m starting to think there’s no such thing.

by MAN in the BOX on May 5, 2008 10:35 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Scully rules

When I put together my first techno single it’s going to sample Vin saying “San Pedro de Macoris” over and over and over again

by Simons on May 5, 2008 10:41 PM EDT   0 recs

Scully

the guy never takes a breath.

by MAN in the BOX on May 5, 2008 10:45 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Yay walk!

Reyes now has eight (one intentional) in his last seven games.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:51 PM EDT   0 recs

Guh

Why do I feel like I’m wasting my time staying up watching this?

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:55 PM EDT   0 recs

Yea, I guess

I’m already sleepy. Not sure if I want to tough this one out. It may be time to find fat cat pics again.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 10:58 PM EDT   0 recs

meow.

We've got ourselves a ball club, the Mets of New York town!

by kingcritical on May 5, 2008 11:01 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

whoa, that is one big pussy!

I know I should leave Beltran out of it at this point, I’m sorry.

by Simons on May 5, 2008 11:03 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Definitely the right call

Suck it, headfirst slide into first.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 11:00 PM EDT   0 recs

Wow

Not sure if it’s his thumb, or just overall suckiness, but Schneider looks terrible.

by Eric Simon on May 5, 2008 11:20 PM EDT   0 recs

His presence in the lineup

is more grounds for firing Randolph. Willie has no guts.

Coach, I want to play.

OK.
