In any case he’ll have to pass through waivers unclaimed to make it to the Reds’ minors, which seems unlikely.

cause I was watching the Yankee game and he played. It happens. Andy Phillips could help us a caddy for Delgado. Of course we could try Tatis in that role when he’s no longer needed for OF duty when Church returns.

I think I just saw the headline “Reds cut Phillips” and made an unwarranted assumption. Andy P. is a nice bench player, but probably a better fit for a team that needs infielders rather than the Mets, who really need outfielders. Marlon Anderson or Tatis already do well enough as backup infielders, and I am not sure Andy is a better hitter than them (sad as that sounds). I don’t think Andy will make it through waivers, either, but it’s possible he might.

What the hell does it mean to claim that Pelfrey doesn’t know how to “manage an inning”? How is that different from just saying that he doesn’t always pitch well?

i dont get manuel's easley does it attitude
i know there is widespread, derision of castillo but I am tired of Easley giving away multiple outs, particularly when young pitchers are affected. All things considered, Castillo is far from being one this teams main problems.

Playing Easley today had more to do with Luis’s legs than Manuel’s attitude, I think.
