Amazin' Avenue SECRET Swag Contest

Not content to simply give swag away at the end of the month, I've decided to hold occasional secret contests to give swag away throughout the month as well. To keep things lively, I'm not going to announce what the secret contests are until they are over. Think of them as "pop" contests; the best presents are the ones you never knew were coming!

This installment of the Amazin' Avenue Secret Swag Contest will award a prize to the user who:

Posted the most game thread comments in the Mets' four-game series with the Dodgers

The Mets are finally on a roll, winning three of four against the Dodgers and five of six overall. We had a pretty good turnout this week in the game threads, particularly Sunday night's nationally-televised affair. As for the series' overall comments, the top five contributors to the game threads over that time were:

There's plenty more swag to give away, and no telling when the next secret contest will start or end. Hooray for mystery!

I love the secret contest idea. Just as a small suggestion, maybe a future one of these could move the focus away from sheer quantity and towards quality of the individual contributions? (Not intended as a knock on itsmetsforme, who posts great stuff.) Maybe a secret award to the longest comment in a thread, or the most links posted to the sidebar, or most analysis, or best firsthand game report, or something? I don’t know, just think it would be nice to reward commenters for thoughtfulness and insight and humor as well as volume.
