Fuck You, the Mets!

This is one of the most horrific losses to take when you’re a fan.

While I’m at it, Fuck You, Baseball! I hate the fucking heartbreak! I can’t take this fucking shit any more. Gah!

Let’s get ‘em tomorrow.

We've got ourselves a ball club, the Mets of New York town!

Interesting?

Well, it was my birthday. On the Mets front, the word would be frustrating. After the incredible winning streak, things have been somewhat shaky. And you don’t want that against the Phillies. NOW is the time to straighten things. Wake up!

Roll Call

All us AA’ers survive the night?

Me? Check.

The 2008 NY Mets: Reyes singles. Castillo infield single. Wright walks. Beltran lines out. ZaBlanc bitches. Delgado strikes out. Reyes picked off third. Fans boo. Padres win 2-1.

I hate baseball.

Let’s hope Maine can hold ‘em tonight and the offense puts up double-digit insurance runs for the bullpen.

The butcher and the baker and the people on the street, where did they go? To meet the Mets!

Endy's WPA

+14.1%. I guess that proves that WPA like all stats can be highly misleading.

I've never been so glad to not be watching

I’ve dealt with tough losses before, but this would have resulted in some serious damage to my apartment.

I watched that collapse on the out-of-town scoreboard at Yankee Stadium. Miserable.

Damn, that's horrible.

On the bright side...

Beers were paid for by my boss.

At least you had that going for you.

I hope they didn’t cut you off. You probably needed it.

PS: WPA doesn’t account for baserunning, does it? Because I can’t think of anything Endy did to help the Mets win.
