Reyes and Keith in confrontation
Attention minority ballplayers: do not show too much emotion on the field, or else you will be called immature (Reyes, Milledge). Also, don't show too little emotion, or else people will say you don't care (Beltran, Delgado).

One more thing
Keith is just doing his job, even if a lot of it is just regurgitating tired baseball platitudes. What the hell is Reyes doing getting into a fight with a sportscaster, anyway? If a ballplayer attacked a writer/reporter/announcer every time he was disparaged the media box would have a lot more black eyes and the clubhouse a lot more swollen fists.
yeah, Reyes is out of line
Just like Keith said, do your job and let Keith do his.
We've got ourselves a ball club, the Mets of New York town!
Just like when Piazza called him a ghost
Keith isn’t wrong. If they don’t like what he is saying, don’t shoot the messenger so to speak.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
Broadcasters
I’m not supporting Reyes confronting a member of the media. That’s a battle he can’t win and is a distraction. With that said, I’m of the opinion that our SNY broadcasts are quickly dropping in quality. Gary, Keith and Ron have gotten a lot of accolades for their work, and now its like think they’re perfect and do no wrong. Esp. when it comes to these sorts of issues, they get on their privileged suburban white guy soap boxes and don’t come down. Keith calling Reyes a baby on the broadcast smacks of hypocritical self-righteousness, considering that Keith had to admit to cocaine use in open court as a player, and also admitted to buying in the clubhouse to boot.
