Dumb Idea
The Mets shouldn’t be thinking of putting any of the starters listed in the bullpen. I could be out of my mind for saying this but a good starter is more important. You’d be better off putting any of the young pitchers you bring up in games as middle relievers. Take Niese or Stokes and put them in the pen to get their feet wet as middle relievers. If Heilman was a good or effective starter, do you think he would’ve been in the bullpen? In 25 career starts his ERA was over 5.00. You could be hurting yourself more if you put Maine or Perez in the bullpen—would they take to it well? If not, and the young starters falter, then you’re shooting yourself in both feet.
This 100-pitch limit has kept more pitchers healthy and effective longer, right?

I think so. You see a lot more dudes pitching into their early 40s. I’m with the guy at BP (or somewhere?) who said teams should take advantage of the shorter outings and consider going back to the four-man rotation.

less maybe
the fewer times through the order is always better for pitchers
Some manager should try a “twice through the order” rule for the starters with some good long relievers

the METS will play a total of 14 games against teams below .500 (NATS, PIRATES, BRAVES) in a row. If there is anytime to go on a serious winning streak, it would be…NOW!

The Nationals suck because the defense is failing to make plays like the play Zimmerman failed to make Wright’s tough dribbler. I like him as an announcer, but only when he is bragging about drinking and smoking in the clubhouse.

I couldn’t believe that they actually took it.
I had to go back and make sure that fair trade was actually on.
The contracts are a little weird on this game though. They change, Berkman only had a one year contract. I think that helped them decide to trade him…..even if it was for Zito.

How very true.
"But it's not over yet, everybody thinks it over, but if we can just get the Earth to reverse rotation...this thing can be played again. So there you go, New York Mets......motherf*ckers." - Jon Stewart

I honestly love this game so much.
I stopped playing GTA IV and started playing this again.

Agh, I'm too far behind on games.
I still have a PS2. Forget about GTA, I’m waaaay behind on that series.

Yeah, got SA a few months ago used.
It is really awesome, but I have barely scratched the surface of it.

I miss playing Call of Duty 4 though.
That game is amazing.

Is there an outtake where Jeter gets run over?
I’d go to the website to watch that.

I know just about all of us suggested moving Stokes to the pen,
but I’ll bet none of us thought he’d record a save, especially before Kunz.

Well I missed the whole damn game
And nuts to John Maine for not getting one pitch in in the 6th. Still, fuckin’ a! I saw the first five innings of this game and I liked it! Let’s do it again!
'Catsmeat!' he cried. 'I see it all. It was that chump, Catsmeat.'
