Though details of Shea's closing ceremonies are still barely known, a Mets source leaked the following bit of information about one of the players in attendance: Mike Piazza will be there. Hey, Mister Piazza, hit a home run tonight!
It’ll be nice to see Mike back at Shea again. I’m guessing Tom Seaver, Keith Hernandez (obviously), Mookie Wilson, John Franco (and, dare I hope, Giuseppe Franco?), Al Leiter and plenty of others will be in attendance.
Not invited: John Rocker.
