Just a couple of grinding gamers
No quit in Erstad and Ausmus. All heart. Couple of the grittiest gaming grinders who ever left 110% on the field.
'Catsmeat!' he cried. 'I see it all. It was that chump, Catsmeat.'

losing in extra innings at home sucks
Losing in extra innings at home because of a pair of HRs by two of the worst hitters in baseball really, really sucks.

Heilman and Molina in 06
Late inning homers from normally powerless hitters are always heartbreaking. Hopefully Big Pelf will play stopper today. After a string of 5 (or 4?) series victories, a 2-2 split is not hateful.
But when is it time to expand the rosters? It’ll be nice to have some young arms roll in and pitch some innings here and there. At least we know that with Willie gone, the September call-ups will not increase the average age of the team.
