No Runs Allowed: Mets 3, Marlins 0
Another day, another great start by Oliver Perez. He knocks his ERA down to 3.90 with this two-hit, eight-strikeout performance, and coupled with a Phillies extra-inning loss to the Pirates, the Mets vault over the Marlins and stand just a game behind Philadelphia for first place in the east.
Dan Murphy continues to impress, going 2-for-3 with a walk. David Wright knocked in two more runs to bring his season total to 89 and could threaten Mike Piazza's single-season Mets record of 124 in 1999.
Aaron Heilman! Two perfect innings! Three strikeouts! Zero homeruns! Pinch me!

Heilman
His beautiful 2 innings almost brought tears to my eyes, on any other team, this would be expected by the ‘pen. There is usually never a dull moment in the late innings.
