Beltran
Kansas City Star columnist Joe Posnanski discusses Carlos Beltran's development since he was a 21-year old in Kansas City. A wonderful read.

god, that's a great piece of sports writing.
It somehow seems unfair that the Kansas City Royals are graced with such talented, funny, insightful, elegant writers when the Mets, who play in what’s supposed to be the capital of American publishing, are covered by such a pack of (mostly) borderline-illiterate dipshits. At the same time, maybe it’s only fair considering the team that Royals fans have to endure rooting for.

Just a great sports section
Poz, Whitlock, Bob Dutton’s pretty good. But Poz is the best. I definitely advise picking up his book The Soul of Baseball for any who haven’t done so.

Carlos Franchise
His gliding isn’t wasted on me. I’m a hyper stressed fan most of the time, but when I see Beltran gliding back on one, I"m never worried.
After Omar brought Beltran to Shea, he could do no wrong with me.
