Elitist
We don’t need your stinking “numbers” and “proper spelling.”

I hate ESPN
Long ago they became way too big and way too full of themselves. No longer are they all about sports—they are all about ESPN reporting about sports.
If I had a few hundred million dollars, I’d start a rival network with good reporting and old-school broadcasts. The broadcasters themselves would not be old-school, however—just the way they call the games would be.
My network would ignore the off-the-field drama in favor of the on-the-field stuff.

So, what?
You mean I wouldn’t be inundated with reports on whatever the hell stupid thing fell out of Curt Schilling’s mouth this week? But he’s so relevant!

I don't care about Schilling.
But whatever T.O. and his agent are doing this week—that’s what I really need to know.

I saw Wayne’s World also.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

Benjamin is nobody's friend. If Benjamin were an ice cream flavor, he'd be pralines and dick.

It's our choice.
Yes, and it’s the choice of a new generation.

It's just another fine example of a lack of attention to detail.
The American education system is to blame here. I can’t tell you how many pertinent documents I read (that are supposedly proofread) and are distributed to ‘important’ people and organizations with numerous spelling and grammatical errors. It’s appalling.
Pingel is correct. ESPN has gotten too big for its britches. It still produces good programming (Bob Ley’s Outside the Lines is one). As much as I love PTI, I’ve grown tired of Mike Wilbon’s name dropping and multi-substitutions for Kornheiser. Mike and Mike make me want to heave especially with Mike Greenberg’s constant stammering and overdone melodrama. ESPN still does college football well but NFL Football has become all encompassing on the network.
Sigh…

Perhaps I should have proofread my own post.
It was King Critical that I agreed with in regards to ESPN.
