All tied up scenerio . . . How does that work?

What would happen if at the end of this weekend us, the Phils, and the Brewers are all tied?

Is the division determined first  and then the wildcard?

Do we have the head to head advantage over the Phils?

Will they make us play for the division and then the loser have to play for the wildcard?

I have asked some cooworkers but no one is sure of how it would work.  I hope it doesn't come to this but as we all know with our Mets anything is possible. Good or Bad !!

a quick search of teh Internetwebs reveals:
Should the three teams finish the regular season with identical records, the Phillies and Mets would play on Monday, Sept. 29, at Citizens Bank Park, with the winner being declared the NL East champions. The loser would host Milwaukee on Tuesday, Sept. 30, with the winner of that game advancing to the postseason as the NL Wild Card entry.

Tiebreakers

Per Baseball-Reference.com:

Scenario #5: If three Clubs in a League are tied with identical winning percentages at the end of the championship season and two of those tied Clubs are from the same Division and are also tied for first place in that Division and the third tied Club has the highest winning percentage among the second-place Clubs in the remaining two Divisions, the Division Champion shall first be determined by a one-game playoff on Monday, September 29. Any playoff games played to determine a Division champion shall not count in determining which Clubs are deemed tied for a Wild Card designation. Clubs that were originally tied with a Club or Clubs for a Wild Card designation shall still be considered tied.

Example of Scenario #5: The Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals and Florida Marlins all have identical winning percentages at the end of the championship season. The Astros and Cardinals are tied for first place in the NL Central and the Marlins have the highest winning percentage among the second-place Clubs from the NL East and NL West. The Astros and Cardinals would play a one-game playoff on Monday, September 29. The winner shall be declared the Division Champion. Despite the loss, the losing Club would still be considered tied with the Marlins for the lead in the NL Wild Card. Those two Clubs would play a one-game playoff on Tuesday, September 30. The winner of that game shall be declared the Wild Card.

The short-short version: The Mets would play the Phillies for the NL East title, the loser of which would play the Brewers for the Wild Card.

going a bit further

if the Mets hosted the Brewers in a one-game playoff at Shea Stadium, which would obviously be arranged on very short notice, how/when would tickets for that game be sold?

Tickets

There probably wouldn’t be enough time to hold a lottery, so I’m guessing it’ll just be first come, first served.

now that we're less than 24 hours away from knowing whether such a sale might be necessary...

it would be nice if the Mets would release some information about it.
