Marlins pursuing former Met Pedro Martinez
ESPN.com is reporting the Marlins having interest in signing former New York Met, Pedro 'Vote 4 Pedro' Martinez. They are believed to be setting up a meeting for this coming week. Pedro has a house in Miami...
Do you care? I gotta admit it would feel a little cheap to see Pedro with the Marlins. I can't see them pulling the trigger considering he would command at least the $5 million John Smoltz received from the Red Sox. It appears the Mets are poised to move on from Pedro with the Tim Redding signing (and with good reason). I was just curious as to whether anybody cared?

2005 was spectacular
but the bullpen and offense kept him from getting more wins. Since then he hasn’t done much, but his acquisition wasn’t a disaster. I will miss him and wish him the best of luck with whoever he signs with.

I've loved Pedro
since his Montreal days. So yea, I’m gonna be sad to see him go, and I wish he wouldn’t sign with an NL East team, but I wish him luck. Particularly against the Phillies.

No I wouldn't care
It’d be weird if he signed with the Yankees (Sox and Mets connection), not the Marlins.

I'm so done with Pedro
I love what he brought to the team four years ago, but I’ve been sick of him for a long time now.
Sure, let him throw his junk for a division rival—I look forward to the Mets scoring five runs off him in the first three innings every time he’s out there.
We've got ourselves a ball club, the Mets of New York town!

I liked him as a person on the team and for his competitive nature
but it’s time to cut the chord.
