Name That Mets Pitcher
Here's hoping things pick up a bit in Metsland.
P.S. If you use Google Images you're a Cheaty McStinkypants and everyone will know it and call you that from now on.

I think he's right
The windup and the frame look like AY but I don’t think the Mets wore black caps until way after Young was a Met.
Yeah
The all-white uniform didn’t come along until ‘97 (remember the ice cream man hats?) and the black hats didn’t until ’98.
mine too

Mel Rojas?
'Oh yes, I know all about that duty-of-a-citizen stuff. It doesn't go. There are exceptions to every rule, and this was one of them. When a man risks his liberty to come and root at a ball-game, you've got to hand it to him. He isn't a crook. He's a fan.'

Wasn’t Rojas a little rounder around the mid-section?

That's a consideration
I’m just guessing that’s some kind camera work.

It does look like there’s a “1” on the front of his jersey, though. Could be 51; 31 and 41 are definitely out and I can’t remember any pitchers wearing 11 or 21 recently.

upon further review...
definitely too skinny for Benitez obviously. I’ll vote Mel Rojas as well.
Rojas might of bent over backwards a bit more...
With his left ear pointed down his back…
Im in the middle of work trying to act out pitching motions to jog memory. Good times, as always. Wonder what the bosses think of that.
I know it's just a picture
And you cant tell much. But the form looks pretty good, and wasnt Dotel’s delvery more herky-jerky with alot of elbows flying around?
I'm with the Rojas camp
It looks like the number ends in 1, and he wore 51.

Good job by me
But this is still probably the skinniest picture ever taken of Mel Rojas.

HELLO HELLO MR WILPON. WE WANT THE MANSION NOT THE CONDO.
Was gonna guess AY
The 2008 NY Mets: Pedro hurt already. Delgado still sucks. Mets still can't beat the Braves. Beltran only plays 6 innings. WTF with Pelfrey?? Mets win 60 in a row. Freakin' Wagner. PLAYOFFS, NO WAY?!
