Don Aase
Of course we got many good jokes/laughs out of that guy’s name when we were eight years old.
He actually pitched like 60 innings for the Mets in 1989.
I had his baseball card from at least a couple of his seasons with “California” and the O’s.

I still get laughs out of that guy's name
I mean . . .Aase! How can I not laugh at that?
'Oh yes, I know all about that duty-of-a-citizen stuff. It doesn't go. There are exceptions to every rule, and this was one of them. When a man risks his liberty to come and root at a ball-game, you've got to hand it to him. He isn't a crook. He's a fan.'

Yeah that's all new to me
Dang that card makes me regret most of my card collecting from back in the day. That’s awesome.
