for some reason
that popped in my head as well, but Ventura was a lefty and had a 1-hand follow-through:

Pee Hands

He's wearing gloves, jerk
He’s not called “Pee Gloves.”

Whatever
It may be a trick!

Also
I concur with the Jeff Kent supporters.

I'm 99.9999% sure
the picture is from 1994 – the patch on the right sleeve is the MLB 125th Anniversary patch, and it’s hard to make out, but I’m pretty positive the patch on the left sleeve is the “Miracle Mets” 25th Anniversary patch:

The batter looks white. So, my vote is either Kent or Kevin McReynolds.
eagle eye
paul lukas of uniwatch would be proud.
HELLO HELLO MR WILPON. WE WANT THE MANSION NOT THE CONDO.
haha
I’m usually terrible at these, but the second I looked at that uni I noticed the patches look different than they normally do, and it was helpful that there were two unique patches on the Mets unis that year.
Is it too late to get in contact w/the company that designed those patches?

I'm going with Jeff Kent
It looks just like his swing.
"I got my pregnant wife (the Yankee fan) with me. Hoping my kid learns to kick her everytime the Mets score." -Schifftis-
I forgot about that Mets logo with the stripe running beneath the name.
Who are the ad wizards who came up with that one?
We've got ourselves a ball club, the Mets of New York town!

That was too easy, Eric
I immediately thought it was Kent as well. You gotta find some middle ground between Jeff Kent and Saturo Komiyama.
"One of the nice things about baseball is that there are no rules you can't break." - Jim Bouton
Like Benny Agbayani or Sid Fernandez
Born in Hawaii, which is literally the middle ground between Saturo Komiyama and Jeff Kent.

The question: "Oprah – What is with her?"
Your answer: “She’s fat, she’s thin, she’s fat, she’s thin – I mean, come on, pick a body and go with it!”

They were selling those jerseys at a close outs store in Tucson about 8 years ago. Mostly Hundley jerseys
Name That Mets Batter
I believe that is the 25 anniversary patch and I believe the Mets hitter shown is one – Kevin McReynolds.
He looks constipated.
