While You Were Out: Amazin' Avenue Week In Review (10/4-10/10)
I would never go as far as to say I'm rooting for A-Rod but it's satisfying on some level to watch him shut up braindead Yankee fans and members of the media. Here are this week's links:
- Take Me Back To April - Our hopes and dreams for the season generally didn't pan out.
- Alomar, Shines, Alicea Out; Warthen, Johnson In - It was all Luis Alicea's fault!
- The 2009 Mets Also Won "Best Picture" In 1997 - cjmulrain gives us an awesome Titanic themed FanShot.
- Omar Minaya, Jeff Wilpon, And Dave Howard Interview Recap - This was probably the longest I've ever tuned in to a non game broadcast on WFAN. I have to say Mike Francesa did a nice job with this one.
- Daniel Murphy Had A Good Defensive Season At First Base - According to UZR and +/-.
- Inside Out: Daniel Murphy's New Approach To Fastballs - Sam goes buck wild with pitch f/x and Fangraphs and takes a closer look at Murphy's season at the plate.
- Mets Get Chris Carter, Eddie Lora From Red Sox For Billy Wagner - Self-explanatory.
- Met Rushmore - Starring Endy Chavez and 3 scrubs.
- Productive Base Stealing And The Mets - Stealing bases efficiently has been a positive under the Omar regime.
- The Big Book Of Available Pitchers - robcast23 hits us with a comprehensive breakdown of offseason pitching options.
- Poll: Best Part Of Today's NL Playoff Games? - Matt Holliday is the victor.
- Five Numbers To Avoid When Evaluating Starting Pitchers - ...explode Oliver Perez in2 the sun.
- Leveraging Speed And Defense - EtSuke wonders if you should build a team to fit a ballpark.
- Godzilla? I'd Rather They Sign King Ghidorah - Sam tells us why Matsui to the Mets is a bad idea.

One of the few rooting for the Yanks
because I’m tired of the A-Rod true yankee crap. It’s unavoidable in the NY media. Only can they be so unappreciative of one the all time great players. At the same time, I’d love to see the Rockies or Dodgers take it all.
