Looks like Ken Takahashi has been released. Lets hope this is just the first stone in an avalanche of off-season moves.

I feel like they could have used this guy better this past season

that being said, I can’t say im upset about them letting a 40 year old reliever go. Let the purge begin.

Cory Sullivan, you're next.

Oh wait, he played so awesomely this year. Except he didn’t.

i still liked sully as a backup outfielder

but if we keep frenchy and pick up another starting outfielder he becomes expendable for sure.

oh im not arguing he was spectacular by any means

but he was a a replacement level player, and he played like one, better than below average. Not gonna cry myself to sleep when they upgrade by signing someone else though.

No, I don't think you understand the definition of replacement level.

A replacement level player is the definition of “below average”. It’s someone that honestly is a AAAA player, not really good enough for MLB but able to do well in AAA. Sullivan is the DEFINITION of replacement level. He should not be factored into our roster next year as anything other than AAA depth.

I would still love to see Buffalo filled out like this

C – Thole
1B – Davis
2B – Coronado/Hernandez/Valdez
3B – Murphy (Rotating, learning other positions when Evans or Ike have an off day or something)
SS – Tejada
LF- Evans
CF- Fernando
RF – Duda

Of course this only happens should we acquire a lot of Major League depth including a temporary first baseman (Johnson, LaRoche) and a bat off the bench.

i never said he should be on our team next year.

I hope we have absolutely no need for him at all. i said he served his purpose well enough, and if we get a new outfielder I dont care where he goes.
