He's another pitcher that some people may undervalue, thanks to his bad finish to the year.
That said, he did have a lucky year in terms of BABIP…but again, conversely, this year marked a big improvement in his K rate and BB rate.

I think I'd say nay
Its tempting, but I have to figure the window to buy on Jackson for a reasonable price is now closed. It does appear he made some substantial improvements this year, but he was still pitching over his head for most of the season. If he doesn’t cost much in talent, sure, he’s a nice acquisition, but I have a hard time envisioning a scenario where the Mets should be the high bidder for his services. Someone’s too likely to be willing to overpay.

I'd like to get him
but it would be buying high. He’d probably fit well in Citi, but I wouldn’t want to give up too much and i can see someone overpaying for him

Yeah I had the same thought
His flyball ways would play well with the ballpark and crappy infield defense. But I also throw up a little in my mouth every time I think about how much more appealing flyball pitchers are than groundball pitchers are.

I wanted him last winter when it was buying low (I had actually hoped we sold high on Murphy there)
Buying now at his peak value is a bad idea.

Another guy who we, in theory, could have had at a low price last season, who is now at a career high
If we could pick him up for something reasonable, I’d be so-so on such a theoretical deal. Odds are, we won’t, though.
