I wonder why Zimmerman won over Wright

do you think it has more to do with the fact that he’s been the best defensive 3rd basemen in baseball for the past 3 years, or b/c this was the first year he was better at the plate than Wright?

Zimmerman is long overdue for one

He’s one of the best defensive 3rd basemen in the game, and he’s been overlooked a few times where he could have conceivably won it. He had a great season with the glove this year and I’m glad to see him finally get one.

I love DW, but Zimmerman’s just a better fielder, and probably should have won the 2 Gold Gloves that Wright won. It’s just kinda a farce that you basically have to have a good offensive season to “qualify” for a GG
