A fair interview
I’m a lot more confident in the farm system than I was, let’s say, a month ago or so. A lot of these guys are in the lower levels of the Minor Leagues, but give ‘em a year or three, and suddenly we’ll have a bunch of prospects ready to burst onto the scene.

I think the idea that most of the talent was in the lower levels was accurate last season
But will be less so this season. As I posted in the comments of the article:
The lack of upper level depth was definitely a problem this year, but I’m not sure its going to be a fair criticism anymore. Triple-A and Double-A are going to be loaded with prospects (assuming half of these guys aren’t traded away). Davis, Martinez, Holt, Mejia, Thole, Ruben Tejada, Reese Havens, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, and even Zach Lutz (2nd in the FSL in OPS last year, behind only Nieuwenhuis), and Carlos Guzman (7th in the FSL in OPS) will all find themselves in either Buffalo and Bingo, with many likely splitting the season between the two, not to mention Jon Niese, who should either be in the major league rotation, or back in Triple-A.

I'd amend my comment to reflect more of our players not necessarily being in the "lower levels" of the Minor Leagues, but rather, not ready to contribute to the Major League team for another year or three.

That's kind of inaccurate.
Most of our top prospects will be in AA or AAA next season.
