AAOP

We need a bopper and a setter at the plate, and a solid #2 starter and better #5 starter

1B- I would sign Jim Thome for 2yr-$8M. He doesnt hit for the best average anymore, but he can hit the ball out of any park, and with his high walk total his OBP is always over .350. I think while his D may not be the greatest, it is still better than Murphy's D at 1st. My bopper

2B- Clone Figgins- 5yr-$50M- it is a little high but that is what I understand he is looking for, and he can not end up with the Phillies. He is a table setter and will give us some speed after Reyes

SS- Reyes-$9M

3B- Wright-$10M- he needs to stay a Met for his whole career.

Infield= $33M

RF- Francouer- $3.375- I was very happy with his play for us, plus he has that strong arm to throw guys out.

CF-Beltran-$19.275M

LF- Matt Holliday- 4yr-$75M..if he won't go for this then I would probably look into Dye for 1-2yrs at $3-4M a year or Rick Ankiel

outfield= $41.375M

C- We need a veteran who is more defensive, but a little more offense than Schnieder gave us. I see there are some rumors about a deal with AZ. I would push for that. Trade Castillo, Maine, and Nick Evans or Murphy and bring in Chris Snyder-$2M and SP Max Scherzer-$1.5M as our #5 starter.

C-$2M

SP- Santana $19M, Pelfrey$2.3M, Redding$2.3M, Scherzer$1.5M-

then sign a solid starter, Lackey is good but arm problems over the last few years make me nervous, plus we got 2 big signings with Holliday and Figgins..3 seems unlikely. I would go for Rich Harden at 3yrs-$15M with a player option for a 4th year. He has been a solid starter, gets some strikeouts. I would invite someone like Noah Lowry or Jason Schmidt to spring training  in case someone goes down injured.

Starters= $30.1M

RP- K-rod-$9.25M, Parnell-$.5M, Stokes$.5M, Feliciano-$1.6M, Figueroa$.5M, Kiko calero- 3yrs-$5.4M

RP= $14.15M

Bench- OF/1B Murphy or Evans whoever is left- $.5M, OF Pagan $.6M, IF Craig Counsel- 1yr-$1.75M, C Santos $.5M,  Tatis $1.7M

bench= $5M

That brings us in at a total of

$126,000,000,

that is over $20M less than last year, so we can lower ticket prices to help the fans come back to the ball park.
