I miss having The Sun, with Marchman and others, as a paper that had a sports section that was actually worth reading over breakfast.

Yes! Yes! 6th grade English teacher I do!
You see, Mr. Simon, in that sentence, the adverb is used as a modifier for a noun. In English grammar, this is explicitly prohibited. An adverb can modify any part of language except nouns. Marchman should have used an adjective.
