Newsday.com free for Optimum Online subscribers
Newsday.com recently went to subscription-only, and while there's little worth reading there apart from Ken Davidoff's columns, if you're a Cablevision subscriber with an Optimum Online login you can still get access to Newsday's online features for free.
Just click on the link above and select "I am an Optimum Online® subscriber" from the option list.

Done so for about as long as I can remember, tough habit to break. They royally effed up with that website though as jason noted. I think it gave my computer a virus.

Good business design.
Newspapers dying, companies making less and less on print and more and more on ad revenue from web sites, in the middle of a recession…and you charge for web site access.
