I laughed so hard at work that I almost got in trouble.
*From Levittown to Citi Field is an hour and forty three minutes by car (so sayeth Google).

Different Levittown
LI, not PA. (Though the latter might be a covert-ops move by the Phillies.)

there's a few Levittown's actually
and they’re all basically exactly the same. It’s kinda creepy actually.
Levit and Sons
were huge property builders, building developments all over the country in the years after WW2. Long Island’s was just the first. They still build, and I know my folks were looking at some of their plots in Central Florida last year.
They went bankrupt (or filed for protection) quite recently—perhaps not shocking given the housing market. I’d say ‘good riddance’ from an urban planning standpoint, but no doubt it left a lot of buyers/owners high and dry.

Who would have thunk it?
So much history of Levittown would appear in AA.

They're all the same
because they were the first pre-fab suburbs. Like Blackfish said, they’re called Levittown because they were the creation of Abraham Levitt. They were able to put them up so quickly by making them all exactly the same.

yup, knew all that
my dad is from Levittown, LI, and my cousins currently live about 20 minutes from Levittown, PA. We drove through there a few years ago, and my dad pretty much knew his way around – the street layouts are even somewhat similar. There’s just something creepy about it though, it makes the whole place feel kinda fake or something, like a movie set.
hey does anyone have any information on what a Levittown is?
anyone?
HELLO HELLO MR WILPON. WE WANT THE MANSION NOT THE CONDO.

Though I’m still glad we got K-Rod.

Good stuff
I don’t think statheads ever argued in favor of having a crappy bullpen, but it’s funny.
I can’t put a name to the face: Who is the Met in the panel before the K-Yacht?

i love sunday morning cartoon already
and am mad jealous of those sharp MSPaint skillz.
by the way, where the hell is paperman? was that the sole fleeting glimpse of genius we’re to bear witness to? someone call his handler and tell him we demand additional commentary.
