He's a gritty leader.
You can’t put a price on winners like that. Championships are made of players like Paul LoDuca, and not look-at-me prima donnas like Manny Ramirez.
I'm assuming that's sarcasm
but I can’t be sure.

The only thing is, Manny's price is even higher than it should be because of people who say:
“He’s a proven winner!”
Ugh.

It's a vicious cycle.
And it’s the reason no teams other than the Yankees have a real chance at winning the World Series.
to be fair
it’s not like we’re talking about Luis Sojo here and he was just there on a lot of good teams, Manny is one of the five or ten best hitters of the last 20 years and has raked in the playoffs and legitimately deserves a lot of individual credit for his teams’ success, in Cleveland and Boston and LA
That's true.
But he doesn’t do that BECAUSE he’s a proven winner. It’s because he’s really, really good.
