Playoff OT is just excellent

Howie is great

Maybe the most underrated play-by-play guy in sports – his hockey work is impeccable. Sucks that he’s paired with Hagin.

It was my understanding that Wayne “Terrible Announcer” Hagin’s contract with WFAN (as with all the broadcast contracts, I think) was up after 2008. Has there been an announcement about the new season’s official broadcast team that I missed? I will be heartbroken — sick to my stomach, in fact — if Hagin returns in ’09.

Howie was the “Hot Stove League” guy on FAN for years. In the years before the internets, it was how upstate Mets fans like me got news. He’s always gonna be one of my favorites.
