It's over for one of them.
King of the bling come to lay down the evidence//Not George Bush, L-Millz be da president
beltran
three of his top five seasons have been with the mets:
2nd best season = 2006 = 7.6 WAR
3rd best season = 2008 = 7.0 WAR
5th best season = 2007 = 5.5 WAR
if beltran can put up two more plus-6.0 WAR seasons, i don’t think there can be any doubt that he lived up to his contract with the mets.

So the other day I was watching Prime 9 CF on the MLB Network and Edmonds was 8th. Beltran was not on the list. Neither was Andruw Jones. I thought this was ridiculous. However, after reading through the comments of the linked post, I must stand corrected. I guess that was a little East Coast Bias on my part. Edmonds was pretty freaking ridiculous.
I still think Beltran eventually catches him in total WAR, but much props to Mr. Edmonds.
That also caught me off-guard a bit
Most of what I always saw of Edmonds during his prime were the SportsCenter highlight catches; I never had the chance to watch him patrol centerfield on a regular basis.
I’ll continue to believe, however, that Voltron will end up with the superior career when it’s over.
'Oh yes, I know all about that duty-of-a-citizen stuff. It doesn't go. There are exceptions to every rule, and this was one of them. When a man risks his liberty to come and root at a ball-game, you've got to hand it to him. He isn't a crook. He's a fan.'
