Yesterday's results: Ralph Kiner (94%) def. Dave O'Brien (6%). The first round trouncings continue. We might have to wait for the Elite 8 to see an "upset." Here is today's matchup:

I won't say that women belong in the kitchen, but they don't belong in the dugout.
You know I am only teasing. I love you gals out there — always have.
HELLO HELLO MR WILPON. WE WANT THE MANSION NOT THE CONDO.
I feel kinda bad
Because I did not have teevee access during Zabriskie’s tenure. That said, I love me some Keith Hernandez.

Mex all the way.
Since I, too, don’t remember Zabriskie.
We've got ourselves a ball club, the Mets of New York town!
I wonder
How many people will vote for Zabriskie not because they like him (or even remember him) but because they dislike Hernandez.
Id have to venture
the female voters may vote for Zabriskie, especially after recalling what Mex said about the reporter in the SD dugout. I laughed my ass off when he made that comment on the air.
I remember liking Zabriskie
quite a bit as a kid. I have always felt a special fondness for slick, cheese ball 80s television personalities. He got my vote.

Zabriskie's tenure was before my conscious Met-watching years
but I’ve seen a few classic games announced by him on DVD or TV. I’m a fan.

She wasn't a reporter
She was a member of the training staff.

Zabriskie
sort of holding his own. At least he is doing what say a Oral Roberts might do, keep it close against Kansas for the first 15 min before the Jayhawks go on a 20-2 run to put it away.
this is the most unfair fight since
Zabriskie’s battle with his hairline.

Zabriskie's last game
The last game of the 89 season was in Pittsburgh I believe. ( I don’t remember the result) After the final out they went to commercial and when they came back Zabriske was gone. McCarver and Kiner made some acknowledgments about how they enjoyed working with Zabriskie but there was never any mention of why he left, where he was going, and he never even got a final sign off. I don’t ever remember hearing from or about him again. It was the oddest thing. Supposedly he did some work for ESPN, which I don’t remember, but he really has disappeared. It’s a shame because I always liked listening to him as kid.
I like Mex, but Zabriskie got my vote.
Here here
I really really like Keith Hernandez, but Zabriskie was who I listened to when I became a Mets fan in elementary school. I knew he would lose this poll, but I had to vote for him, Zabriskie/McCarver/Kiner is as important to my becoming a Mets fan as Mookie/Doc/Daryl were.
I tried to do some really casual research
on his post-Met career and I have not been able to unearth anything.
