This may cost Parnell a bullpen spot for the time being. I’d think Villone has passed him by with the need for a long man, and with Stokes out of options and O’Day on rule 5 Bobby might now be squeezed. Hopefully Omar can work a deal with the Angels (and to a lesser extent with the O’s) so we might be able to hold on to the rule 5 guys.
