Murphy- #2 hitter

I still liked Castillo in the two hole, but Murph fits the profile. Then again, this thing could just be Jerry giving the media more to feed on.

Meh I'd prefer if neither hit in the 2 hole

Either way, unless Jerry surprises us, we’re going to be taking too many plate appearances away from one of Beltran/Wright to give them to a much lesser hitter.

but I think it means he’s going to get pulled over between 2nd and 3rd a lot more often now.

hitting behind runners, putting the ball in play, taking pitches for Reyes and taking a walk. My bad. Castillo could do most of these things well, but Murphy could flourish with the protection between Reyes and Wright.
