shake shack at citi field

i’ve never been but supposedly shake shack burgers are as the kids would say “the junk”. this is on top of the already great news about the taco stand.

In January, I ate one sitting on their benches when the temperature was roughly 10 degrees. And the line was still long. The weather is going to be warm tomorrow, go to their shack cam during operating hours, the line will be nuts.

I’m told the line at the upper west side location is typically shorter, but haven’t had a chance to verify that for myself. Personally, I don’t mind taking a book into the park on a nice day and waiting.

Be warned, if you haven’t been to a Shake Shack, that you may experience some Shake Shack Sticker Shock (try saying that ten times fast). At one of the regular locations, a double shack burger, order of fries, and fountain soda will cost you ~$12; at new Shea, the burgers are $1 more, and the fries are (for reasons that escape my understanding) marked up from $2.75 to $5.25.
