Sports Propaganda Art
I just wanted to take a quick second to point you guys to some great new MLB prints, specifically two Mets prints.
They're screen-printed by hand by a Boston-based artist named Chris Speakman, who calls the series Sports Propaganda Art for its clear resemblance to wartime propaganda posters. Chris sent me a couple of samples and they're really gorgeous, perfectly suitable for framing and hanging in your rec room, bar, or anywhere else.
The Wright and Santana prints are officially licensed by MLB and are limited runs of 250 prints apiece. Each print is hand-signed, editioned and dated by the artist.
Chris also has Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, Phillies and Dodgers prints, as well as this general baseball print which I also adore:
The prints are reasonably priced and are printed on high-quality cotton paper and ship in a secure mailing tube. Definitely check them out, and feel free to pass this info along to anyone else who might be interested.

Only if you didn't frame it first.
Although since Murtaugh never really got too old for this shitstuff, can you really have a Murtaugh list?

Are those samples future swag?
It’s a testament to the artist that he makes Derek “the Captain” Jeter looks like less of a tool.
When do the prints become posters? At $10, it’s a no-brainer, but $55 is kinda steep…
"If you bat [Luis] leadoff instead of sixth, say, you are taking away 18 plate appearances each from Reyes, Beltran, Wright, Delgado and Church and handing them to Castillo." John Walsh http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/five-questions-new-york-mets4/
Yeah, the prints look pretty sweet,
but $55 is a little too rich for my blood. Shame, too. That Santana would look reaaaaal nice over my couch.
