The Highs And Lows Of Marlon Anderson's Mets Career
Marlon Anderson was designated for assignment this past weekend, effectively ending his up and down Mets career (2005, 2007-2009). I present various moments from his Mets tenure, and my rating of each moment, on a scale from one Marlon to five Marlons:
1/7/05 - Signs with Mets:

5/22/05 - Slash line through this date - .343/.425/.400:
6/11/05 - Hits game tying inside-the-park homer in the 9th inning (off Frankie!):
10/2/05 - Finishes the season with a .264/.316/.391 line:

11/21/05 - Signs with Nationals:

7/12/07 - Signs with Mets:

8/1/07 - Goes 2-4, HR, 3 RBI as Mets beat Brewers 8-5:

9/23/07 - Delivers key pinch hit in the 8th as Mets beat Marlins 7-6:

9/30/07 - Dominates as pinch hitter for 3 months, finishes .319/.355/.551:

11/6/07 - Re-signs with Mets for 2 years, $2.2 million (Sam says: "wat"):
9/28/08 - Ends catastrophic season with a line of .210/.255/.275:

2/18/09 - ITBSOHL! (in the best shape of his life):

4/10/09 - Starts the season 0-4 after a poor spring training:

4/11/09 - See ya. DFA'd:

To Marlon: fare thee well gone away, there's nothing left to say.

so long and thanks for the spurts of PH'ing productivity
he had did have some good streches, i do remember them. dumb to give him that 2 year deal, especially in light of this, but as rob neyer would say, to the mets thats a rounding error.
HELLO HELLO MR WILPON. WE WANT THE MANSION NOT THE CONDO.
that inside the park homerun is great memory
hopefully everything else from his career will fade from memory quickly
Excellent
though I would’ve personally tried to find a picture of Marlon in a Nats hat for the appropriate line
FANTACULAR!
My question is: “Was he a nice guy?”
