Darren O'Day Picked Up By Rangers; Nelson Figueroa Clears Waivers, Can Return To AAA Buffalo
O'Day, we hardly knew ye. It's nice to have Figueroa back in the organization. Casey Fossum remains on the big league roster.

I admit I don't know why
but I can’t help feeling this is going to come back to bite us.

Surprised Fig wasn't claimed
Really, no other team could use that guy?

Yeah that does seem odd
I mean I know he’s nothing particularly special but I’m usually confused at some of the players who do and don’t pass waivers.

If I was the Angels, I would have claimed him.

Does anyone know how they managed to get so many starters injured at the same time?
Are they the blue jays of the west?

The whole AL West is injured/sucks.

Apparently
Figueroa rejected assignment and is now a free agent, or so I read on Metsblog (I think). I wouldn’t blame him, he was really messed around by the front office – he’s no superstar but I would feel very undervalued if I were him.
