Who among us hasn't linked Derek Lowe and Oliver Perez in our minds? Or Luis Castillo with Orlando Hudson?  So I figured it might be interesting to keep an eye on these offseason matches throughout the season, just to see what things could have looked like (plus most of us would have been looking anyway so may as well put them all in the same place for convenience sake).  I suppose I'll re-post and update these numbers about once a month or so just to keep track.  I'll mix and match a few different stats in each time just to keep things interesting.

• Obviously its too early to draw any conclusions but lets just set the stage: Clearly O-dog is getting wrecked so far.  I'm one of the bigger Perez backers but this is definitely going to be an uphill battle...

• Not many NL second baseman off to a hotter start than Luis Castillo...yes, Hudson is one of them.  However, this should be an interesting race to watch.

• Now here's a matchup I feel confident in, though Wood will definitely be solid.
