Missed the game, what with work and all.

Are you telling me that Jerry pinch-hit for Tatis with the bullpen catcher? Santos wasn’t even on the bench when he got called in? FTH?? No, this is a joke. Nobody could be that freaking dense. Not even Dusty Baker would pull a guy who’s 2-4 for the bullpen catcher. What, did Castro knock up Jerry’s daughter during the 7th inning stretch?

That's a good summary

Jerry, sometimes what you may think is gangsta is simply whack. Get a grip man!

I read elsewhere

Howie Rose said on air that Castro didn’t stay in the dugout to watch the end of the game after Manuel put in Santos. Don’t know if anyone else heard/saw this?

'Oh yes, I know all about that duty-of-a-citizen stuff. It doesn't go. There are exceptions to every rule, and this was one of them. When a man risks his liberty to come and root at a ball-game, you've got to hand it to him. He isn't a crook. He's a fan.'

Yea I heard that too

Apparently that is what happened. Although Castro came out and said the right things to the media (with a pissed off scowl on his face), he headed back to the clubhouse. I don’t blame him. I’d probably would have done that too and cursed for the next twenty minutes in the clubhouse.

can we just trade Wright for Eckstein?

You know the Wilpons, Minaya, and Manuel all want to do it.

2009 Mets: maybe its the Phillies turn to have a terrible bullpen?
