Delgado To The DL, Pagan Called Up
Delgado might have hip surgery and we should be seeing even more of Fernando Tatis. Unless Jerry Manuel hands Omir Santos a first baseman's mitt.

Sweet
Now we have someone else who Jerry will probably hit first or second who has absolutely no business there.

I'm really disappointed by this
I was hoping Pagan would be unduly punished for his arrest just so I wouldn’t have to see him.
I love Pagan
But we don’t need another outfielder, and he’s only played a handful of games in the past calendar year.
We probaly dont... but who else is there to call up?
I guess maybe Murphy will be taking over some of tatis’s utility duties at third and some time at first. So that just leaves us with… yeah still too many outfielders.
Hopefully this will be temporary.
My hope of all hopes (but will never happen)? Redding’s called up, Livan sent down, Green sent down, Niese calls up, Figueroa stays up in the bullpen, we trade for a 1B/LF bat that we can sign to a longer contact.

It should've been Evans...
but he’s been so terrible they just couldn’t do it. On the other hand, demoting him seems like a slap in the face. Hopefully he can still contribute this season.
It's hard for Evans
to play in Buffalo, he needs the adrenaline that Bingamton/St. Lucie provides.

His BABIP was 0.089 for chrissakes

Very true.
Plus he was battling for playing time with a bunch of schmucks. And I believe he’s a very good defensive 1B. He made highlight plays in his few innings there last year plus I believe the MiLB TZ metrics rated him well.

Really?
I wasn’t very impressed with his glove during the spring. But a .089 BABIP is hard to do if you’re trying.

He was hurt
Bone spur in his elbow I believe, he’d just been activated a couple days ago.

Wow...outfielders galore
Daniel Murphy isn’t going to get any playing time now. Unless we send Reed down to bring up Redding on Monday.
