Gee-Bowden Duel Ends with Kunz Meltdown
I just finished watching this game on gamecast. After going into extras 0-0, A-Rey hits a go-ahead 2-run homer and then Kunz, who I have long thought to be a bad pitcher, comes in and loads the bases and serves up the walk. Even though he went 0-5 today, F-Mart has been walking and homering more lately, so watch out. He's also being playing left, not center. A sign?

Gee's performance was Maine-esque
6.1 innings of 5 walk, 8 strike-out ball. A little odd given his excellent K/BB ratio thus far.

That's a shame
But like you said, even before this there were lots of indications that Kunz just isn’t a MLB ready pitcher yet. He still has lots of nice tools for a late inning RP, but they’ve been raw for quite some time now and haven’t really developed.

I really don't know about Kunz.
Every time I see something good that he does, he does something like this. Even still, I’d prefer having a young guy like Kunz who has upside walking in runs than a guy like Green walking in runs with no upside. Even if Kunz is no more than a ROOGY, at this point, I’d really prefer him in the pen over our other ROOGY (unless we want to keep Figueroa up there instead, which I wouldn’t have a problem with).
