We need a win.
I know some you you will say of course we need a win. The reason that I am saying this is very simple. 1 we can beat the Dodgers eventhough we lost two straight to them. 2 The Phillies are playing the Yankees this weekend and if we are going to keep up with them we have to win. 3 We play Boston this weekend and if we lose we can be out of the race for first place before we know it. Now I know that it is too early to do or die but it could be soon. So we need a win tonight vs the Dodgers or we sweep Boston or take two out of three from them. No matter how the Mets do it. We need a win.

So
Let me see. We need:
A) a win tonight, or
B) a sweep against Boston, or
C) to take 2 of 3 from Boston.
I’m thinking I would rather have 1out of 3 against Boston. Hey, it’s still what we need, right?
the SiteBot is really falling asleep on the job.
We've got ourselves a ball club, the Mets of New York town!
We need a win
For all of you idiots who want to act stupid go ahead. I am talking to the real fans who want the Mets to win. Winning one out of three in Boston doesn’t help us. We need a win tonight in LA. Then to keep the ball rolling we need to beat Boston and taking two out of three or sweeping the series helps us in the worst way. So if you are going to be a idiot please keep your comments to yourself. Thank You.

you are right.
No one here is a real fan, and no one here wants the Mets to win.
Might as well shut down the site and go home, I guess.

Before your next "fan" post
Read this sentence of your own words:
“So please if you are going to act stupid then please know something about the issue that you are talking about.”
Then pause for a moment. It will save us all a lot of heartache.
hey stupid
im on your side!
and i dont know anything about the WNBA – that’s why i’m asking you!
help me out here centerpede, frig.
All of the mets fans hope that we will not see the bad news mets ever again.
also that second sentence is pure gold
if you are going to be stupid, be smart! those are the subtle paradoxes that keep drawing me to you, centerpede. you are something special, i hope you know this. as there ever been a social commentator more in touch with the duality of man since carl jung? no, no there has not.
All of the mets fans hope that we will not see the bad news mets ever again.
Lol Centerpede 101
Is a new Jungian Archetype for the culture of the interwebz. Completely lacking subtlety or observancy, he roams forums and blogs looking for someone to ease his loneliness, and for someone else who actually cares about the WNBA.

If you want to something about the WNBA and you are serious about that let me know and I can try and help you. I am a sports junkie when the NBA is over I need my basketball fix so I watch or go to a WNBA game. Besides I always liked womans baket ball.

artificial intelligence
You guys have got this all wrong. I think c-101 is some grad student’s CS project that has recently become self-aware. It didn’t know any better, so it became a Mets fan.

Good thought, but
If it learned all it knew from the internets and blogosphere, then wouldn’t it hate the Mets and think that they need more grission and edge and heart, and beards? I would think that Skynet, err, C-101 would be a Yankee or Eckstein fan.

C'mon man
I just erased that memory from my brain. Now I have to go back to therapy.
Sorry
but that ridiculousness seemed appropriate for this “fan” post. I’m sure Steve Philips has some kind of shrine to that thing in his house, office, car and the cardboard box he sleeps in.

In fact, spur
I think that James should make C-101 the newest entry in his meme library. It’s like a Scotty, only doesn’t need food, water, or air.
I think it's Steve Phillips
C101 does seem to spout the same dribble as “the best team in baseball” does, he just does it with some style

My favorite part
“Now I know that it is too early to do or die but it could be soon.”
Apparently you do not know that it is too early to do or die, as you have suggested that in four games the mets could be out of the division race.
Go dodgers, obviously.
I'm worried about you Eric
I think somewhere between that awful ESPN broadcast the other night and all of Jerry’s funny math you got your awesome and sucksome wires crossed or something. ;)

How funny would that be?
And he kept coming back because he only saw the comments on his fanposts, while never seeing how much we rip the blog in other posts’ comments. And it’s funny, I always pegged Cerrone as a WNBA fan…

hah - just barely better writing
both of these guys came from the state the obvious in the most boring way possible over and over again and add unessecary adjectives that provide no insight and eschew analysis for banal platitutdes school of writing.
“the mets need to win today. it would better if they had a commanding lead of the division. jose reyes needs to work on getting solid ABs. he went a quite 1-4 at the plate. winnings is preferable to losing. my cats breath smells like catfood.”
only real difference is centerpede is in 2nd grade, and that is why i adore him so.
All of the mets fans hope that we will not see the bad news mets ever again.
so i guess that how you strike words out on these posts - good to know

more like 70 wins
That’s what this team needs to needs to have a decent chance at the playoffs.
In all seriousness (I know, this is a centerpede post, but bear with me), a 5-5 road trip to SF, LA, and Boston would be fine and is still attainable. Let’s all back away from the ledge please?
2009 Mets: maybe its the Phillies turn to have a terrible bullpen?
more like 70 wins
Hey you are right. Thanks for pointing this out. That is why I blog to get another side of the story. LETS GO METS

I do not think that I have a background that is fascinating. I’m a father, husband and I go to work so I am very boring. So that is me in a nut shell.
