Omar's reasoning for Perez in the Pen

Here’s Omar thinking. The comps between Rick Vaughn and Oliver Perez are uncanny. Both are power pitches with terrible control, they both showed increased maturity (Perez got married, Vaughn got out of jail,) and they both throw pitches Jack Parkman will rename (Vaughn’s eliminator and Perez’s “changeup”) Now, the comp isn’t perfect, Vaughn throws right handed and much faster than Ollie, while Ollie throws left handed and has a secondary offering. But just look at the results with Vaughn in the pen, (I admit the sample size is small) he showed increased control and increased velocity by being able to let it all out. This is Omar’s train of thought.

Hahah excellent
Well played sir. But don’t forget, Vaughn had Jake Taylor behind the plate talking about guys wives and playing mind games with Haywood about pitch selection. We’ve got Brian Schneider talking about car dealers not knowing squat.

I thought the difference with Rick Vaughn getting glasses… (wait, I shouldn’t try to help, I know that movies hold all the answers)

'Oh yes, I know all about that duty-of-a-citizen stuff. It doesn't go. There are exceptions to every rule, and this was one of them. When a man risks his liberty to come and root at a ball-game, you've got to hand it to him. He isn't a crook. He's a fan.'
