Jerry Manuel Suspended For One Game
He was also fined and will serve the suspension today. The punishment results from "inappropriate contact" Manuel made with umpire Bill Welke during an argument in the 8th inning Thursday night against the Phillies, following an obstruction call against Jose Reyes.

Good
Fuck Bill Welke. It’s nice to see Manuel show some balls for once.

It's obstruction, not interference
Interference can only be committed by the offense, obstruction by the defense. Know thy rulebook.
The instrument has yet to be invented that can measure my indifference to that remark.

The scourge of hat brim contact
must be stopped.

They shoulda just suspended the hat
"The definition of edge is going out there and getting a few wins, and then all of a sudden you don’t have to worry about anyone talking about edge anymore," Wright said. "That's a thing in the past. Go ask Omar about that."

That's why you flip the hat around
(Earl Weaver) or just take it off entirely.
Jerry could wear it to the side during an argument to go with the whole “gangsta” motif he’s got going on now.

That would be awesome
Flicking the hat around by 90 degrees to get 84% more intense in the ump’s face (legally)!
