It's for the best
he was clearly not the optimal John Maine. Add him not just to the list of injured players, but those who started the season injured and didn’t bring it up until they were sucking. How can anyone not blame Minaya for not backing up those guys?
Jon Niese please. (Holt?)

It was a tough loss James
but I’m still hanging in there.

If the MRI showed no damage not sure why they are DL'ing him
sounds to me like more Omar lying about injuries.

Niese last pitched Sunday; Figgy on Monday
I’m guessing it’s Figgy for his monthly call-up/DFA.

"We have to find a way to play better, there's no doubt. Overall. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody. Offense, defense, pitching -- we have to find a way to play better. The reality of this is, coming here to Pittsburgh and being swept -- personally, I feel embarrassed." -- Carlos Beltran

I can imagine
A big-ass assembly line of Mets waiting for their turn to go on the DL. Kinda like at a carnival or during the Depression.
I don't need no instructions to know how to rock!

They might as well turn Buffalo into the Disabled List
I don’t think anyone would know the difference.

arm fatigue?
Another example of the Mets medical staff being completely cluesless about anything relating to their own field of work. What a bad DL excuse.

I say forget about fixing the team. FIX THE TRAINING AND MEDICAL STAFF!

So... hold up.
Nieve to start. No call up. NO apparent DLing?
Is he staying or going? Is there anything definitive so far?
